The angel enthroned atop the censer holds his right hand over his heart and a disk in the other. This disk can be interpreted as a symbol of divine power or the Seal of God, which marks the elect at the end of time. The angel's wings have disappeared, but the place where they were attached can still be seen. This figure was cast separately with its pedestal and then later fastened to the censer using rivets.
