Luc, bent over his desk, writes the phrase "By saying this, he expired". On Matthew's desk, facing his symbol, the angel, is written "Pushing out a great cry, he gave up his spirit". On Marc’s, in full meditation, appears “I place my spirit in your hands”. Jean, who turns around quickly and raises his head, has lost his desk, which logically carried “and with his head bowed, he gave up the ghost”.
