Glassware

Under the term glassware, we group together all the different fragments of worked and colored glass that decorate a piece of goldsmithery. Since Antiquity, beads have been used to replace and above all to imitate the brilliance of precious or semi-precious stones. Glass cabochons enhance the pyxis of Saint-Omer with their lively and varied colors, alternating with filigree foliage all around the cylinder and the conical roof lid.
